David Wilson's first project came to fruition as a result of the many
requests for a recording by David's live audiences. This album includes two
Italian ( "O Sole Mio" "Return To Sorrento"), two French
("La Vie En Rose", "Under Paris Skies"), two Classical
("Romance In F" ,"Swan Lake") , and two contemporary
ballads ("Starting Over", "The First Time Ever I Saw Your
Face") in addition to his repertoire of American Broadway standards
("My Funny Valentine", "Don't Blame Me", "Isn't
It Romantic" a.o.).
David grew up in small town in Ohio not far from Cleveland. He began playing the violin at an early age. After several years of intense classical training , culminating with a Masters degree in Performance David shifted his focus and developed song writing and composition. |

After moving to Los Angeles David started to work as a pianist/ violinist
and soon found himself admired by musical celebrities. It was Henry Mancini
who approached David to ask him to do solo performances for the score of
the film "Switch". Subsequently, David played on Mancini's beautiful,
and sadly one of his last albums, "As Time Goes By". In addition
David has performed for Jimmy Stewart, Frank Sinatra, George Burns, Charleton
Heston, Robert De Niro and others.
His second album "Romance of Paris" refines his special and lush violin sound and includes many international standards ( "Falling In Love With Love","Somewhere In Time", "Come Prima","Autumn Leaves", "Night And Day","Lili Marlene", I Love Paris" a.o.). |
